About this programme

AI and machine learning for AML/CFT detection, regulatory compliance and practical implementation.

This program is designed to address the critical gap between traditional AML/CFT practices and the rapid advancements in AI and machine learning, which are reshaping how financial crimes are detected and prevented. With money launderers continually evolving their methods in the digital age, financial institutions must adopt innovative, technology-driven solutions to enhance risk detection, reduce false positives, and streamline compliance processes. Moreover, this training is aligned with both domestic regulatory requirements (SC and BNM) and international standards, ensuring that compliance professionals are equipped to meet increasingly stringent expectations. By bridging theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applications, the program empowers participants to modernize their AML/CFT frameworks and secure the integrity of financial systems.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain key SC, BNM, and international AML/CFT regulations.
  2. Identify core AI and machine learning techniques for AML/CFT detection.
  3. Describe a prototype AI-driven AML compliance model that integrates regulatory checkpoints.
  4. Present a strategic roadmap for AI integration in AML/CFT processes.
